Korra Season 4

Well, this is weird.

korrakorraNickelodeon has announced Season 4 of The Legend of Korra. It starts in October. Next month.

Didn’t season 3 just end? Like, just a few weeks ago?

It seems that Nickelodeon has decided that Korra skews too old for the audience they’re looking to attract. And yet, they already paid for it. So, now they’re just getting rid of it as fast as they can. On one hand, I’m always excited for more Korra. And, hey, I’m definitely excited to see more of it so quickly after the last season. But it is weird, and seemingly against previous business practices.

So, in a some strange way, Nickelodeon might be pioneering new ways to show television. Will it succeed? Or just clear their palette for more inane, badly-animated children’s shows? I have no idea.

So, new Korra! I’m excited?
